Dark Academia Library Staircase with Lanterns and Books Coloring Page

This dark academia colouring page shows a very quiet library alcove centred around a staircase and a tall bookshelf full of books. There's a hanging lantern in the upper section and another lantern by the stairs. A blanket is draped over the balustrade, a closed book lies on one of the steps and an old fashioned key hangs from the side of the bookcase. A leafy potted plant provides a softer element at the bottom to counter the strong lines of the steps and shelves.

For a proper dark academia look you'd go with deep brown or walnut for the wood, burgundy, forest green, navy and charcoal for the books and warm amber or muted gold for the lantern light. The blanket could be cream, rust, dark green or plaid. The plant would be in natural green of course. You could keep it all quite warm and cosy or go for a more moody look with darker shades. You can colour it online or download and print it for a very relaxed colouring session.
