Cozy Dark Academia Reading Nook by Moonlit Window Coloring Page

The peaceful dark academia scene is set around a cushioned window seat. Across the middle of the cushion there is an open book, with a closed book nearby and a plaid pillow by one side. On the windowsill there is a candle which is lit, together with a cup and a potted plant, and through the tall arched window the crescent moon and some stars are visible. The illustration has a cosy old-study atmosphere because of the combination of the books, the candlelight, the plants and the night-time details.

If you're looking to create a classic dark academia colour scheme, then consider using deep brown, burgundy, forest green, charcoal, navy, cream and a subdued gold. For the cushion and pillows, opt for warm neutral tones, while each of the books can have a different colour corresponding to its age. A soft yellow or amber candle flame looks good against a dark blue night sky. Alternatively, you can make the scene brighter and more whimsical by incorporating lavender, dusty blue or sage green. You can colour the image online or download it and print it for a more relaxed coloring experience.
